United
Way of the Mid-Willamette Valley has been working in Marion and
Polk counties since 1938; bringing programs and people together.
Through our Community Care Fund we provide support to critical health
and human service programs throughout our community.
We
are:
- Local.
Donations made to United Way are invested locally to
benefit people in Marion and Polk counties. A gift to United Way
is an investment in the people of our area for the betterment
of all our communities.
- Accountable.
Trained community volunteers decide which programs receive money.
Volunteers hold the agencies accountable for all of our donors
by monitoring budgets and the quality of the agencies' services.
- Results
Oriented. United Way is a proven, organized system of
caring that studies our community's diverse needs and allocates
resources where they will do the most good. It is estimated that
nearly 1 in 3 people benefit from services provided by agencies
receiving United Way Community Care Funds.
