Fast Facts

 

United Way of the Mid-Willamette was founded in 1937.

 

Serves Marion, Polk and Yamhill counties.

 

The 2007 campaign raised $1.8 million.

 

Funds 40 partner agencies and 67 programs though the 2007-2009 Community Impact Fund grant cycle.

 

Is an independent 501c3 non-profit organization governed by a local volunteer board of directors.

 

Unites people and resources for a stronger community. We focus on addressing priority needs in four key areas – basic needs, health, community and youth development.

 

Provides the Volunteer & Mentor Center, which serves as the regional source for all things volunteer related, connecting people with volunteer opportunities that make a difference in our community. In addition, the Center provides technical assistance and training to local non-profits and community organizations. Visit www.givebacktoday.org

 

Approximately 300 organizations participate in the annual workplace campaign, which provides support for critical resources throughout the three-county region.

 

Has approximately 5,000 individual donors.

 

Has approximately 400 volunteers who participate in our annual “Days of Caring”.
