Our
Community Legacy
The
United Way of the Mid-Willamette Valley is a non-profit organization
that has been helping our two county region since 1937. Six decades
of helping the most needy among us. Six decades of annual solicitations.
Six decades of starting each year at $0. Abused children, the hungry,
at-risk teenagers, disabled persons, and more rely on you and on
us. While the annual United Way campaign makes a life-changing difference
for the immediate needs of today, an endowment fund would stabilize
funding and assist in funding more worthy projects each year.
Our
newly established United Way Decades of Difference Endowment Fund
will make that kind of impact in our community with your help. Contributions
to the Endowment Fund will be prudently invested. The UWMWV Board
will monitor the investments and the distributions to make careful
use of your contribution and to make the greatest possible impact
in the community. Leave your legacy through a gift to your community's
United Way Endowment Fund. Discover how you can leave your legacy
through planned giving to United Way of the Mid-Willamette Valley
while reducing estate taxes, maintaining income during your lifetime,
and/or still preserving an inheritance for your children.

Planned
gifts to United Way of the Mid-Willamette Valley represent a thoughtful
and imaginative approach to the philanthropic support of human service
in our community. The donor who makes a planned gift is not necessarily
a person of wealth, but is always a person interested in making
a lasting contribution for the future benefit of people in need.
Planned
gifts take two forms, the first being the bequest of funds to be
distributed to United Way at the time of the donor's death. The
bequest as stipulated in the donor's will may indicate a specific
amount or a percentage of the estate to be directed to United Way.
The
second form of a planned gift is made during the lifetime of the
donor in order to accomplish personal financial goals as well as
to support charitable interests. This type of gift enhances the
future financial well being of the individual and his or her family
while providing for a meaningful charitable contribution at the
same time.
Because
planned gifts are directed toward funding United Way's Decades of
Difference Endowment Fund, planned gifts provide donors (at all
levels of giving) the opportunity to benefit less fortunate people
in the community well into the future. A planned gift to the endowment
is a meaningful legacy, which will assure a safe and healthy community
for all its citizens for the years to come.
United
Way encourages its contributors to help provide services for generations
to come. Please secure the future for others in our community through
a planned gift by contacting Gayle Caldarazzo, gcaldarazzo@unitedwaymwv.org
or 503.363.1651.
Providing
additional income for you and your family.
Minimizing your current taxes.
Securing services for future generations.
